Shion Iseya Solo Exhibition — Majirimono no Iru Tokoro
EXHIBITION 2026

We understand the world by classifying things and drawing boundaries.

Humans and plants and animals. Self and other.

Things that exist at the boundary—belonging to neither side, yet capable of becoming either.

They emerge from accumulations of lines drawn in pen.

EXHIBITION

In the space between boundaries, nameless beings appear.

Majirimono no Iru Tokoro begins with these questions and presents a group of works by Shion Iseya, centered on new pieces.

Presences that are neither human nor beast—difficult to name—emerge from the spaces between countless layered lines.

This is Iseya’s first solo exhibition at Gallery NOOOG in about ten months, following Shinsei Bunretsu in December 2025.

WORDS
Between borders, nameless forms arise.
Neither one thing nor the other, yet able to become both.
Among layered lines and the spaces between them,
another shape begins to appear.
